Welcome to Grounded. By using this app, you agree to the following terms.
Eligibility
Grounded is not intended for children under 13. By using Grounded, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you are able to agree to these Terms. If you use Grounded on behalf of someone else, you are responsible for making sure you have authority to do so.
Use of the App
Grounded is designed for personal, non-commercial faith reflection, prayer, study, journaling, and wellness support. You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the app, its systems, or its content except as allowed by Grounded or applicable law.
Wellness Disclaimer
Grounded provides spiritual, reflective, and wellness-based content. It is not intended to replace medical, mental health, legal, financial, pastoral, or other professional advice. Grounded is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are experiencing serious emotional or mental health concerns, may be in danger yourself, or need urgent help, please seek support from emergency services, a qualified professional, clergy, or another trusted support resource.
Spiritual Content
Scripture reflections, guidance, prayers, devotional content, Bible explanations, and related features are meant to support personal growth and connection with God. They are not presented as guaranteed, exhaustive, or authoritative interpretation.
AI-Generated Content
Some features within the app use AI or automated systems to generate or organize reflections, prayers, Guidance responses, scripture explanations, verse emphasis, sermon-note drafts, or prompts. While we aim for meaningful and helpful content, generated responses may contain errors, omissions, or wording that does not fit your situation.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it, saving it, or sharing it outside Grounded. AI-generated content should not be treated as infallible, professionally certified, or a substitute for appropriate professional, pastoral, or emergency assistance.
Your Content
You may create, save, upload, or synchronize private content in Grounded, such as sermon notes, sermon-note photo attachments, journals, reflections, saved prayers, saved verses, Guidance-related saved content, preferences, and similar user-created content (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. Grounded does not become the owner of your photos, notes, prayers, journals, reflections, or other private User Content.
You are responsible for your User Content. You confirm that you own your User Content or have the necessary rights or permission to use it with Grounded, and that your User Content does not knowingly infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights. You may not use Grounded to store unlawful material or material that violates these Terms.
You give Grounded only the limited rights reasonably necessary to operate the service for you. This includes rights to host, store, back up, technically reproduce, process, transmit, synchronize, and display your User Content back to you; provide requested AI functionality; secure the service; provide support; and comply with law.
This limited operational permission does not give Grounded unrestricted rights to publicly publish your private devotional content, sell your private User Content, use your private prayers, journals, or photos as advertising, or otherwise commercially exploit private User Content unrelated to providing Grounded.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Grounded for unlawful or harmful activity. This includes:
- uploading or storing material you do not own or have permission to use;
- infringing or violating third-party intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- attempting to access another person’s account, private content, or data;
- attempting to compromise, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with Grounded systems, APIs, security, or service providers;
- uploading malicious code or using Grounded for fraud, impersonation, deception, spam, or abuse;
- using Grounded in a way that materially interferes with other users or the operation of the service.
Content Review and Account Enforcement
Grounded is not designed as a public user-to-user content feed. Your private User Content is not made public to other Grounded users through the app by default.
Where reasonably necessary, Grounded may remove or disable content, restrict functionality, suspend or terminate access, or respond to legitimate legal requests if we believe content or activity violates these Terms, applicable law, platform requirements, or the security and integrity of the service.
Copyright and Intellectual Property
Grounded respects intellectual-property rights. You may not upload, save, submit, or process content through Grounded unless you own it or have the necessary permission to use it.
If you believe content in Grounded raises a copyright concern, you may contact us at support@getgroundedapp.com. Grounded may remove or disable allegedly infringing material where appropriate. Grounded has not yet published a registered DMCA designated-agent process; formal DMCA agent information is expected to be addressed separately.
Third-Party Content
Grounded may display, link to, or help you work with third-party content, such as Bible texts, YouTube videos, sermon transcripts, app-store services, authentication providers, hosting and database providers, subscription and payment providers, AI providers, email or SMS providers, and content or transcript providers. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. We do not control or take responsibility for external content or third-party services.
Daily Scripture texts
Grounded offers an optional Daily Scripture texts program. If you check the SMS consent box and provide a mobile number, you agree to receive recurring faith-based SMS messages from Grounded. Message frequency is approximately 1 message per day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or of creating a Grounded account.
Carrier STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, and REMOVE keywords unsubscribe the number. After a carrier STOP, you must text START, YES, or UNSTOP to opt back in. You may also turn texts off in Settings.
Limitation of Liability
Grounded is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not promise that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or accurate, or that third-party services or AI-generated material will always work as expected. You are responsible for how you use Grounded and for decisions you make based on app content.
Subscription Terms
Grounded may offer optional auto-renewing subscription plans (“Grounded Premium”) that provide access to additional features, content, and functionality.
Billing and Renewal
Grounded Premium may be offered through the Apple App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. Purchases are processed by the platform store associated with your device and store account. Payment is charged through that store when you confirm your purchase.
Subscription status and entitlements are managed through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. RevenueCat verifies your purchase receipt and determines which premium features you have access to.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled. Renewal timing, billing, and cancellation are handled under the terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable.
Managing Subscriptions
You may manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings, depending on where you purchased it. Canceling stops future renewals but ordinarily does not end access for the current paid period, subject to the applicable store’s terms.
Deleting your Grounded account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it through the applicable store subscription settings to avoid future charges.
If available, Restore Purchases can help restore eligible Premium access associated with your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Restore Purchases does not cancel a subscription or create a refund.
Free Trials and Promotional Offers
Grounded may occasionally offer free trials, discounts, or promotional pricing through the applicable platform store. Availability, eligibility, duration, pricing, and other offer terms are displayed by and subject to the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable, and may vary by user, region, or promotion.
Changes to Subscription Features
Grounded may add, modify, remove, or improve premium features over time. Subscription benefits may evolve as the application develops and expands.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you purchased your subscription. Refund requests must be submitted through the applicable platform store and are subject to that store’s refund policies and decisions.
Termination
Grounded may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to accounts, content, or premium features for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, security concerns, platform requirements, or legitimate legal requests.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. The displayed effective date and Terms version identify the Terms in effect. Material changes may require notice and/or renewed acceptance. Grounded may retain historical consent evidence according to its policies and applicable law.
Continued use of Grounded after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms, except where a different consent process is required.
